Embed a Youtube video in Microsoft PowerPoint 2007?

How to Embed a Youtube video on Powerpoint?

First you need to download an add-in from MVPS. In your favorite browser, type in http://skp.mvps.org/youtube.htm and press enter.

Scroll down and download the Add-in that suits your PowerPoint version. We selected PowerPoint 2007/2010 users’ version.

Once the file is downloaded on your computer, unzip the file and double click on YouTubeVideo2k7.ppa as shown in the screenshot below:

This action, will prompt PowerPoint to open. A Security Notice will appear. Click on Enable Macros.

This will install the new Add-in. Now click on Insert in your top menu and on the right side, you should see a new icon: Youtube Video

This will prompt you with the YouTube Video Wizard to add the video. You need to go to Youtube to get the link to paste.

Today (September 8), Google unleashed its new Google Instant Search. We will be embedding this video. Let’s copy and paste the URL.

Copy/paste that url (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElubRNRIUg4) in your Youtube Video Wizard.

Press Next

We changed the size to 90%. Change as you please and press Next

Now select “Slide Show” tab on your top menu and then select “From Current Slide” to start playing the slideshow (or just hit F5)

You are done! Here you can see your Youtube Video within your PowerPoint slide.
