🧰 What You’ll Learn In This Guide:
• How to buy a domain name and hosting
• How to install WordPress
• How to choose a theme
• How to create pages (Home, About, Contact, etc.)
• Which essential plugins to install
• How to launch your site to the world
✅ Step 1: Choose Your Domain Name & Hosting
Before you can build a site, you need a place for it to live. I recommend Hostinger, which offers fast, affordable WordPress hosting.
You’ll:
• Pick your domain name (e.g., yoursite.com)
• Choose a hosting plan
• Connect the two together — all in a few clicks
✅ Step 2: Install WordPress
Most hosting providers offer one-click WordPress installs. Hostinger makes this especially easy. Once installed, you’ll be taken to your WordPress dashboard, where all the magic happens.
✅ Step 3: Set Up Basic Settings
Next, we walk through:
• Site title & tagline
• Permalink structure (SEO-friendly URLs)
• Timezone and general site settings
This step helps you lay a solid foundation for your site’s functionality and visibility.
✅ Step 4: Choose & Customize Your Theme
Themes control how your site looks. In this guide, I walk through both free and premium themes — including my favorite, Divi by Elegant Themes.
You’ll learn:
• How to install a theme
• How to use the Customizer or theme builder
• How to make your site match your brand or vibe
✅ Step 5: Create Your Website Pages
Every site needs a few essential pages:
• Home
• About
• Contact
• Blog (optional)
I show you how to create each one, write your content, and organize them into a navigation menu.
✅ Step 6: Install Essential Plugins
Plugins add new features to your site. I recommend a few key ones:
• Contact Form 7 or WPForms
• Yoast SEO or Rank Math
• UpdraftPlus for backups
• LiteSpeed Cache for performance
All are beginner-friendly and make your site safer and faster.
✅ Step 7: Launch Your Website
Once your pages are built and your design is dialed in, it’s time to go live.
In the final part of the video, I’ll show you:
• How to preview and test your site
• How to publish it
• What to do after launch
🎯 Final Thoughts
